Marimekko 75th anniversary ceramic capsule collection

75 years ago, Marimekko was founded in Helsinki on an idea of joy, optimism and personal empowerment. Three quarters of a century of the art of printmaking calls for something special.

Marimekko marks its 75th anniversary with a limited-edition ceramic capsule collection, celebrating the art of printmaking, creative collaboration and thoughtful craftsmanship. Centered around the joyfully blossoming Kukasta kukkaan print and 75 unique, hand-painted serving bowls, the limited-edition anniversary collection captures Marimekko’s enduring love for bold design and everyday beauty.

At the heart of the capsule collection are 75 individually hand-painted serving bowls created by artists Erja Hirvi and Antti Kekki, both of whom are long-time collaborators of Marimekko. Each collectible piece reflects Marimekko’s ever-evolving dialogue between artists, designers and artisans, highlighting the perfectly imperfect human touch behind the brand’s creative process and the expressive possibilities of print as color, gesture and form.

“For 75 years, Marimekko has brought joy, optimism and creative self-expression into people’s lives and homes through bold prints and color. This capsule is a tribute to that and to our renowned art of printmaking — with original, human-made brushstrokes added to objects that act as canvases designed to be used, cherished and shared for a long time to come,” says Marimekko’s Creative Director Rebekka Bay.

The limited-edition capsule collection is available in selected Marimekko stores and Marimekko’s online store from October 21, 2026 onwards while quantities last.
