Marimekko has its own textile printing factory in Helsinki, which makes Finland an important manufacturing country for Marimekko. Around one million meters of fabric are printed by the factory every year. Fabric printing and design expertise has always been the core of our business, and maintaining in-house manufacturing in Finland is seen as an important competitive asset. In-house production also plays a crucial role in product development and enables us to participate in various sustainability development projects.
In 2021, 54 percent of Marimekko’s products were made in EU countries and the rest mostly in other European countries and Asia. With the skillful and diverse supply chain, we can offer our customers a wide range of high-quality products. Regardless of where the products are made, special attention is paid to the manufacturing conditions. Marimekko representatives visit the factories regularly.
