Marimekko’s Sustainability Review 2016 has been published

Marimekko’s sustainability review 2016 has been published. The review covers, among other things, the highlights of our sustainability work and our sustainability strategy. It focuses also on how we secure sustainability in our supply chain and the environmental impacts related to Marimekko’s own production.

Share of Better Cotton already around 50%

Marimekko aims to increase the share of more sustainable cotton in its products and packaging. For cotton, to Marimekko the more sustainable alternative is mainly Better Cotton, and on seasonal basis organic or recycled cotton. In 2016, of the cotton we procured approximately 50 percent was more sustainably produced Better Cotton. In 2015, the share was 31 percent.
