Next Sunday 24 April marks again the international Fashion Revolution Day for a more responsible garment industry. Fashion Revolution Day honors the memory of the workers deceased in the collapse of the Rana Plaza factory building in Bangladesh three years ago.
The sustainability of operations throughout our supply chain is very important to us and we want to do our part in promoting responsibility and transparency in the garment industry. This is why we published a list of our most significant contract manufacturers last year.
Stories from the people making our products
We choose our manufacturers and their facilities carefully no matter where they are located. We are proud of our skilled supplier network and all the employees that have their own stories to tell. In the spirit of Fashion Revolution we gathered stories from few of Marimekko’s important partner manufacturers from our most significant manufacturing countries Lithuania, Portugal and China as well as from our own textile printing factory in Helsinki, Finland.
